As it turns out, however, the name is quite a bit older than that. The origins of Citizen go link (and it doesn't make me terribly proud to admit that I link didn't know this) all the way back to 1918 – the Caliber 0100 wristwatch was introduced in 2019 but the movement was introduced as link a pocket watch in 2018, the 100th anniversary of the company.
